The MX5 NC came as standard with a steel prop-shaft weighing 5.4Kg which uses HKR 5 universal joints.
We modify the RX8 carbon fiber propshaft for use in our MX5 NC chassis which utilises heavier-duty HKR 9 universal joints and weighs in at 5.3Kg. The weight saving is not going to improve your lap times but the heavier-duty UJs are much needed for high-horsepower cars. And lets be honest, carbon fiber is just cool - who doesn't want a carbon fiber propshaft. You'll be the envy of the paddock (possibly).
We typically carry these in stock for quick dispatch - take a look at our shop to find out more.
